Using Warehouse Equipment: They may operate warehouse equipment like forklifts or
pallet jacks to move items efficiently.
Maintaining Inventory: Order pickers help maintain accurate inventory records, often by
scanning items as they are picked and ensuring the warehouse system is updated.
Following Safety Procedures: They adhere to warehouse safety protocols and
regulations, including those related to equipment operation and material handling.
Price Checks and Item Inquiries: Assist customers with price checks and inquiries
about product availability. Use the POS system or handheld devices to check stock
levels, locate items in the store, and provide accurate information to customers.
Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Prioritize customer satisfaction by providing
attentive, courteous, and personalized service. Address any concerns or complaints
promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from a supervisor if necessary.

Other Duties: Depending on the specific role, order pickers may also be involved in tasks
like stocking shelves, loading vehicles, or assisting with inventory counts.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work cooperatively with other cashiers, sales
associates, supervisors, and managers to ensure smooth operations and a positive
