Supervises permanent full-time trainers overseeing their development and implementation of curriculum and training projects for the Child Welfare Training contract.

Supervises training coordinators.

Recruits, develops, and supervises contract and occasional employee trainers for the Child Welfare Training contract.

Trains professionals, including child welfare specialists, who work with children, youth, and families to support state and national initiatives.

Designs and develops curriculum, workshops, online training, and other learning opportunities to support state and national initiatives. This includes both the solo development of curriculum as well as leading teams in the development of curriculum.

Uses data to evaluate training effectiveness.

Plans, leads, and coordinate projects, meetings, and events.

Maintains knowledge and skills about legislation, best practices, and child, youth, and family services trends.

Utilizes data to guide work-related decisions.

Write reports, professional correspondence, and other project-related documents.

Works closely with the OU Center for Public Management and Child Welfare training administrators to meet the training needs of Oklahoma's Child Welfare Specialists.

• Consultation to supervisors and field staff, revision of policy, reviewing child welfare appeals, and training.
• Project management of the Adopt OK Kids grant to improving processes related to the adoptions of youth in foster care.
• Built and maintained an array of both internal and external working relationships.

• Responsibilities include review of child welfare cases in states outside of Oklahoma through the use of the Federal Child and Family Services Review Instrument including interviewing key stakeholders in the case.

• Developed and facilitated focus groups with youth and stakeholders.
• Completed in-depth case reviews of youth aging out of the foster care system.
• Compiled and presented data.
• Developed a local community team to facilitate system change in efforts to reduce homelessness for foster youth.
• Facilitated and monitored the implementation of new training and casework towards the goal of increasing permanency outcomes.

• Responsibilities include leading and participating in Oklahoma Children and Family Services Reviews, supervising 5 program field representatives, training child welfare staff, assisting county staff with program improvement plans, and participating with program improvement planning at the State Level.

• Responsibilities in Bartlesville included supervising a unit of five Child Welfare workers and one aide.
• Supervised the foster care program, kinship foster care program, IV-E medical specialist, TFC liaison, permanency planning, clothing orders, and permanency planning reviews.
• Acted as back-up County Director as needed.
• In Tulsa 72C supervised five Child Welfare investigators and two Medical Custody specialists.

• Responsibilities included investigating complaints of abuse and neglect, completing strength needs assessments with families, developing and writing treatment plans with families, assessing the safety of children in their homes, responding to after hour child welfare emergencies, testify in court, writing reports to the court on the progress of families, encouraging families to complete court ordered service plans, acting as a mentor to new workers, acting as a lead worker, training other workers in the area of sexual abuse investigations and supervising practicum students.
