Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Input prescription orders, fill, and label medications accurately, and efficiently.
- Answer telephones and the customer window to respond to questions or requests.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription orders and resolve medication discrepancies.
- Organize, prepare, and package blister packs /bubble packs to encourage patient compliance.
- Create and manage comprehensive patient profiles.
- Manage inventories, rotate stock, remove expired or damaged drug products and resolve discrepancies in drug counts.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction, and obtain payments.
- Receive and store incoming supplies and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with empathy.
- Established and updated patient profiles, medications and insurance details.
- Participate in prescription and over-the-counter product inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Efficiently process cash register transactions for new and refilled prescription orders.
- Assist patients in understanding their medication instructions and usage directions.
- Receive and verify daily incoming drug inventories, report discrepancies and log items into inventory system.
- Safely and accurately reconstitute oral medications for patient use.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with pharmacy practices and technology.
- Team with prescribers, technicians ,and pharmacists to prioritize and complete orders.
