• Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful home infusion for clients with IV infusion needs
• Duties include, educational training for patients about their disease process, managing symptoms and training to administer their own medications as appropriate, caseload management of patients with various IV needs, including, IVIG, replacement enzymes, rheumatologics, Monoclonal antibodies, or short-term therapies including, IV antibiotics, TPN, inotropes, hydration, as well as line care and dressing changes for PICC lines, Mid-lines, ports, central lines, and insertion/removal of peripheral IV’s as needed as well as collecting and delivering blood samples as directed
• Direct in-home patient care across all age groups, with nursing assessments, medication administration as ordered, IV, IM, or SC; monitoring for acute infusion reactions and treatment for adverse events/serious adverse events
• Clear concise documentation of visits and communication with pharmacy and/or MD office as appropriate
• Providing orientation for new nurses and supervise RN to BSN students as needed.

• Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful in-home support to clients undergoing Clinical Trials
• Duties include, scheduling appointments, scheduling pickup and delivery of Clinical Trial Medications/Placebos, pickup and delivery of blood samples as directed
• Direct in-home patient care across all age groups, with nursing assessments, medication administration as ordered, IV, SC, PO, or Topical, monitoring for adverse events/serious adverse events, lab draws, preparation of lab samples, centrifuge and prepare blood slides

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology Lab, July 2016 to June 2018 (Integrated department with 2 cardiac catheterization labs including electrophysiology lab, and 2 Interventional Radiology labs.) Duties include: Provide nursing care, pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post procedure for patients and their families undergoing various diagnostic and interventional procedures including cerebral, peripheral, line placements, cardiac catheterizations etc
• Duties during procedures include patient comfort, moderate sedation, emergency interventions as needed, Point of Care lab tests, ongoing nursing assessment, retrieving supplies as appropriate for physician and radiology technician, and computer documentation utilizing MAC Lab, and various duties to assist the team in providing outstanding care
• 24 hour On-Call duties for both cardiac and interventional teams for emergency after hour care.

• Emergency Department, July 2014 to June 2018 (27+ bed Emergency Department with 4 critical care rooms and 4 trauma rooms.) Provide nursing care for patients across the lifespan and their families in the emergency department including triage of patients to appropriate areas, perform age-appropriate nursing assessments; per physician orders, insert peripheral IVs and administer hydration, blood products and medications, perform EKG’s, and perform blood draws and initiate lab work and x-rays, assist physicians with treatment procedures, parent teaching, monitor patients during sedation for laceration repairs or orthopedic procedures, trauma care, monitoring and transport of critically ill patients, maintain appropriate documentation via Meditech and orientation of new RN’s to the department.

• Emergency Department (20 bed community Emergency Department with 2 critical care beds.) Provide nursing care for patients across the lifespan and their families in the emergency department including triage of patients to appropriate areas, perform age appropriate nursing assessments; per physician orders, insert peripheral IVs and administer hydration, blood products and medications, perform EKG’s, and perform blood draws and initiate lab work and x-rays, assist physicians with treatment procedures, parent teaching, monitor patients during sedation for laceration repairs or orthopedic procedures, trauma care, monitoring and transport of critically ill patients, maintain appropriate documentation via Meditech and orientation of new RN’s to the department.

• (74 bed Level I Trauma Center with 12 critical care/trauma beds.) Provide nursing care for adult patients and their families in the emergency department including triage of patients to appropriate areas, perform nursing assessments; per physician orders, insert peripheral IVs and administer hydration, blood products and medications, perform EKGs, and perform blood draws and initiate lab work and x-rays, assist physicians with treatment procedures, monitor patients during sedation for orthopedic or surgical procedures, trauma care, monitoring and transport of critically ill/trauma patients, assist Social Worker with supporting patients coping with new diagnoses and end of life choices, maintain appropriate documentation via Medhost, and orientation of new RN’s to the department
• Charge nurse responsibilities including efficient, expedient, safe flow of patients through the department, provide resource assistance to fellow and newer staff, monitor admissions and discharges, supervise and assist nursing and ancillary staff, as well as maintain adequate staffing for current and following shift.

• Hasbro Pediatric Emergency Department; June 2004-May 2013 (15 bed Pediatric Emergency Department with 2 critical care/trauma beds.) Provide nursing care for pediatric patients and their families in the emergency department including triage of patients to appropriate areas, perform age appropriate nursing assessments; per physician orders, insert peripheral IVs and administer hydration, blood products and medications, perform EKGs, and perform blood draws and initiate lab work and x-rays, assist physicians with treatment procedures, parent teaching, monitor patients during sedation for laceration repairs or orthopedic procedures, trauma care, monitoring and transport of critically ill patients, maintain appropriate documentation via Medhost, and orientation of new RN’s to the department
• Charge nurse responsibilities including efficient, expedient flow of patients through the department, monitor admissions and discharges, supervise and assist nursing and ancillary staff, as well as maintain adequate staffing for current and following shift.

• Collaborate with hematology/oncology physicians to provide support to local hemophilia population, including annual physical exams, administration of factor as needed in surgical settings and office visits
• Educate families and patients in safe administration/self administration of factor, healthy life choices, and safety.

• Provide nursing care for patients across the lifespan in their home, through admission visits and appropriate documentation, perform weight based Synagis injections, skilled nursing visits for diabetic teaching and injection teaching, wound care, maternal child health visits for mom and baby after early discharge following birth, etcetera.

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients and their families on a medical/surgical unit for children 2-12 years old, including new diagnosis diabetic patients, and oncology patients from birth to 12 years old.

• Assist nursing staff in direct patient care for adult and pediatric patients through completion of personal care, obtain vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKG’s and various other duties as needed.
