I have been an RN for 25 years. My first year was in ND in a small rural hospital, working all areas of the hospital. The next 4 years were in hospital obstetrics. I have been in home health since 2004. The first 10 years in home health, I worked as a field clinician, seeing patients in their home, the latter 4 years primarily as an admit nurse. The following 5 years I was Team Leader in the office, with clinical care and on call clinical care on weekends. I found myself burnt out in 2020 and I took 2 years off of nursing and spent valuable time at home recuperating and caring for my family and my home. I returned to home health again in 2022 and have been working in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement, where I currently am. I consider myself a lover of adventure and learning. I earned my MSN in Nursing Education in 2008 and am currently enrolled in an online program that will earn me certification in Holistic Nurse Coaching. My children are adults and out of the home now. I wish to stay in the field of home health, but want to explore new opportunities.
