I have diverse work experience across my > 20 year career. My prior positions include primary care services in multi-specialty group and Federally Qualified Healthcare organizations; correctional health care; urgent care; occupational medicine, and administrative work for a government agency. Each of these positions gave me an appreciation for the breadth of medicine. I believe this made me a rather well rounded professional. Most of my direct care experience has been in primary care. At this point in my career, I want to pursue opportunities outside of primary care.
Deliver assessment and treatment of work related injuries. Most cases involve musculoskeletal injuries, blood borne pathogen exposure surveillance, as well as suturing, and basic wound care. Roughly 10% of the patients general urgent care illnesses and injuries. Perform pre-employment examinations, Department of Transportation(DOT) driver examinations, and occupational exposure monitoring.
Provided treatment for lower emergent risk injuries and illnesses for patients ages 6 months and beyond. My duties included supervision of mid-level providers, performing pre-employment examinations, management of Workers Compensation conditions and performing common offices procedures. The common procedures were suturing, incision and drainage, ingrown nail procedures and reviewing EKG, and providing preliminary review of limb x-rays. The dates included per diem shifts while I worked full time for other agencies.
Provided full scope primary care services to adults from age 18 to advanced elderly. The agency used the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The duties involved management of a wide variety of conditions, from basic musculoskeletal injuries, laceration repair, incision and drainage, stabilizing patients with chronic diseases that were lost to clinical follow-up out of custody, and fitness for incarceration exams. Responded to distress assessments "man down" incidents including drug overdose, cardiac issues and trauma with brief loss of consciousness.
Provided routine healthcare to adults in a community clinic. The patient population primarily consisted of Slavic immigrants and refugees. The position required frequent use of foreign language interpreters.
Provided general medical services to adults in a private practice. The position also included overnight coverage in a community hospital.
Provided reproductive healthcare treatment and screening in a community clinic. Patients ranged from age 14 to middle age, primarily female. In addition, the clinic provided general primary care to adult patients of both genders.
Provided adult primary care services in a multi-specialty medical group. The duties also included rounding in the group's hospitalist service. Hospitalists acted as preceptors for the Sutter Medical Group Family Medicine Residency. I received one of the highest patient satisfaction ratings in the office pod.
