Accomplishments

  • Archiving & screening of a small molecule library of 11000 molecules against bacterial pathogen to identify potential broad spectrum novel antibacterial molecule IITR06144.
  • Discovery of an efflux pump inhibitor, a small molecule, IITR08027 which restore the activity of several antibiotics which no longer effective against multidrug resistance Acinetobacter baumannii.
  • TEM-1 β-lactamase from E.coli was purified and crystallized. The native crystals of TEM-1 β-lactamase was soaked into potential inhibitor and soaked crystal was diffracted in X ray to a resolution of 2.0
  • Established stable CRISPR knock-in lines where 8kb of external DNA was introduced in rosa-26 locus of mouse genome.
  • Established stable CRISPR deletion lines where 1kb of mouse genomic DNA from a specific location was deleted.
  • High-throughput PCR based screening of of CRISPR edited clonal lines to identify mono-allelic of bi-allelic insertion or deletion.
