  • Responsibilities include opening and closing the store. Interacting with customers and ensuring the best customer service.
  • Balancing cash drawers.
  • Maintaining FOH cleanliness and standards , as well as, train new employees within the guidelines of Tetsumen.
  • My managerial responsibilities include various bookkeeping duties, which include tracking expenses meticulously, reconciling bank statements, and balancing the checkbook.
  • I prepar detailed financial reports for corporate oversight and ownership. I have processed payroll accurately and on time.
  • I was also in charge of daily ordering for both food and non-food supplies, which involved maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and sales associates to ensure we received quality products and timely deliveries
  • In addition to these tasks, communication was key in my role; I checked and responded to store emails daily, sorting through important information and addressing any urgent matters promptly
  • As a restaurant manager, my role involved leadership, task prioritization, and a commitment to excellent service.

  • Helped conduct a high precision leveling survey as part of an on-going collaboration between the UHH Geology Department and the USGS Volcanoes Observatory.
  • We specifically studied the Koaʻe fault systems and it's response to the 2018 eruption events.
  • In the survey we measure the vertical changes in elevation along the faults and compared them to past surveys.
  • Collaborated with a team to compile research and data from the Koaʻe fault systems, resulting in the creation and presentation of a scientific poster at the GSA conference.
  • Took and followed detailed directions from others.
  • Worked in team environment to maintain high levels of productivity.

Research Assistant

  • A research assistant tasked with helping prepare samples for PHd candidate Rose Gallo of University of Hawaii at Manoa.
  • Samples were used in the chemical analysis of gas bubbles trapped within olivine during the Kilauea eruption 1840, in the Lower East Rift Zone
  • My specific jobs included picking and sorting through pre-sifted grain sizes for valuable samples, then preparing samples by taking them through different levels of sanding to expose gas bubbles.
  • The final step to ready my samples were to melt them to a grain mount for analysis.
  • My work with Rose was then used for a senior seminar presentation, where I gave a 17 minute talk to my peers, about work, history and the different outcomes of successful results.

Hobbies

I grew up playing volleyball, and still love to play in my free time, indoor and beach. Audible has also been my new favorite way to consume books, as I realized I have become much more busy to read physical copies. I love staying connected to my family and love visiting my Grandpa and Aunty on the weekends in Oahu when I have time.  :)
