We started WCI My first and most important job was to secure a log flow to start the sawmill,and at same time setting up a hiring package to get a crew hired and trained so production could start.

The Sawmill ran steadily and did nothing but improve for next 24 years while I was in charge.

Lumber sales between 15 and 30 million $ a year would of course require Log purchases of between 1 to 2 million per month.

The last couple years I was Just a Helper trying to give the new owner advice.

• I managed a timber dept. that supplied logs for four sawmills in the Philomath Area.
• Philomath Forest Products 2 sawmills running 16 hours a day requiring 70 loads of logs a day.
• Pacific Softwoods 16 hours a day 22 loads of logs per day.
• Midway Forest Products, 16 hrs per day, 21 loads of logs.
• I managed a 6 man crew Timber Cruises, Log Buyers, Sale Administrators, and check scaler. Also 4 office log accounants.
• I purchased timber sales From.

• BLM Eugene And Salem Forests
• Oregon State Timbersales Plus Thousands of acres of private land.
