From 2005 to present Richie owned and operated Richie Construction, a General Contractor for Residential and Commercial projects. Managed several commercial roofing projects including, but not limited to Duro-last, Mule-Hide, Carlisle as well as other flat roofing products. From 1999 to 2005 Richie acted as vice president of operations for a home building company as a Co-owner, Signate Custom Homes. In November of 1996 Richie started a career in home-building with Choice Homes. Working in one of the highest performing neighborhoods, building 120 homes in 1997. From 1998 to 1999 Richie was recruited as "Area Construction Manager" for the largest national homebuilder (at the time), Kaufman and Braud. From 1991 to 1996 Richie was enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Air Traffic Control Electronic Technician. From 1993 to 1996 Richie held a Team Leader position, responsible for the maintenance and installation of Electronics equipment and personnel, for five U.S. Army airfields. Richie grew up working in the family owned construction company, Richie Construction, framing and building High End Custom homes in the DFW area.
