Monitor and control MTEMC power system voltage, VAR flow, power factor and transformer loading. Takes appropriate actions on problems as they arise. Develops, coordinates and dispatches all switching procedures on Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation's (MTEMC) 161,000 kilovolt transmission and 24,940Y/14,400 kilovolt systems. Writes and dispatches caution orders for company and contract crews. Coordinates with VP of Operations, VP of Engineering, District Operations Supervisor and District Working Service Foreman on large outages to prioritize, route crews and ensure power restoration is performed safely and as quickly as possible.
