This position was responsible for resolving issues in large venue spaces. I actively monitored and supported business-critical meetings and events in these venue spaces. I provided preventive maintenance support; completed equipment inspections; cleaned equipment to minimize dirt and dust; and repaired or replaced equipment before failures occurred. I also performed software and firmware updates as needed.

I worked with AV vendors and maintained records for work completed using a task system focused on AV-related work in the venue spaces. I created SOPs for equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. I read, interpreted, and maintained room schematics related to AV configurations. I often provided instructions to users on how to operate AV equipment in the venue spaces.

Additionally, I documented facility issues and coordinated repairs with the Facilities team as needed. Along with supporting Washington, DC, I also provided support to Boston, Chicago, NYC, and Toronto, Canada. Other North American cities were supported on an as-needed basis.

In this role, I managed the interactive technology in Meta’s Executive Briefing Center. I supported application developers and assisted with both hardware and software servicing. My responsibilities included proactive maintenance of the AV and IT fleet, covering hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

I provided white-glove technical support and scheduling for VIP client visits, assisted with tasking and metric capture, and supported cross-functional project work. I also maintained and supported global and local VC conference rooms, ensuring 99% uptime and resolving all primary issues.

I performed break-fix tasks, addressing user-reported incidents within SLA windows. I completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and signal-flow testing on VC systems, and initiated vendor RMAs when required. I also maintained updated knowledge of industry standards, client tools, and Meta hardware.

My duties included commissioning new AV equipment, including Cisco SX80 codecs, and documenting tasks, tagging hardware, and entering all related data accurately. I partnered closely with local Helpdesk, Facilities, Events, Executive Support, and EAs of high-profile staff to support high-priority rooms and executive-level events. I also assisted, trained, and advised peers on system best practices and high-level management support.
