- In my most recent role as a Launch Team Member, I was tasked with learning how to build the new Volkswagen ID.4 electric vehicle then training the production team members to do the same
- I was responsible for tracking the training progress of 100+ team members on multiple lines during pre-series and ramp up builds
- My role as a Launch Team Member then transitioned into more problem solving where I would identify defects or other issues, after which, I would call cross functional meetings with engineering, planning, and pilot hall to discuss those buildability and quality concerns as they would arise
- I assisted our IE department with line balancing activities and performing time studies (MTM)
- I was responsible for monitoring process readiness for target completion by the different pre-series phases ensuring our plant had a successful launch
- I took on the additional responsibility of water liaison, in which, I would address issues that would arise in the water tunnels and feed that information back to the proper Launch Team Member and assist in find solutions, as needed
- I was elected by my peers to the Employee Engagement Committee where I met with senior plant management to address concerns of the hourly employees
- I worked for 2 years as the safety guide and emergency response coordinator for my line
