Due to the volume at time I have been promoted to Team Lead to cross train others on my account for assistance on a daily basic if needed and in my absence.
Confirmed and obtained proper documentation for Customs Clearance purposes. • Aided our freight forwarding division in the transport of LCL and FCL cargo from foreign port to U. S. port and final delivery point in the U.S. • Cross-trained in other departments for back-up support (e.g., Accounting, Customer Service) • Obtained Customs release and other government agency's releases as appropriate, arranged delivery, and invoiced the import account. • Advised supervisor of any problems or irregularities. • Proactive communications to co-workers and clients • Communicated with vendors and customers both in and out of the US for data. • Monitored shipments by contacting other entities involved to ensure time frames.
