  • In this position, I have gained valuable insight into the inner workings of marketing, advertising, and promotion at the university level
  • Being the Graduate Assistant in the department meant that my responsibilities varied widely.
  • I am a content administrator of the official William Carey University LinkedIn page. With this, I make posts and stay engaged in comments. This helps keep supporters, distinguished alumni, current students, and staff updated with William Carey University content.
  • I assisted in collecting information and photographs for press releases and news organizations. This included investigating for information, contacting necessary parties, and news report statement collection.
  • My work can also be seen in William Carey University Education Commission Report and Magazine, Spring 2023 Volume 34, No. 1. For this publication, I was a Copy Editor and a Contributer to this project.
  • I routinely assisted with content that was posted on the William Carey University Facebook and Instagram pages. This included writing captions and taglines, making graphics, event promotion, and overall advertising for WCU
  • Creating ideas market the University with different advertising mediums such as billboards, Facebook ads, digital advertising, and airport advertising was routinely part of my duties.
  • I also was responsible for submitting WCU events to various community calendars around the Pine Belt. Examples would be Visit Hattiesburg, Downtown Hattiesburg, WDAM, and WHLT calendars.

  • Being part of the William Carey University Men’s Golf team was one of the highlights of my life.
  • In this role, I was a player, having success on and off the course.
  • I placed 3rd individually at the Wolfpack Challenge in Wesson, MS. I had numerous awards and recognitions for academics while on the golf team
  • Additionally, in my last year of eligibility, I routinely assisted in the implementation and execution of the WCU Crusader Golf Fundraising Club and player-academic success.
  • This club was implemented to help raise money for both the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams at William Carey.
