08/04/26, Hiring Committee, Dear Hiring Committee, I am excited to submit my application for a position with your school district. With over 20 years of experience working with children, families, and youth programs, including my current role as Program Coordinator with North of the River Parks and Recreation, I have developed a strong passion for creating safe, supportive, and engaging environments where students can learn, grow, and succeed. Throughout my career in early childhood education and youth programming, I have gained extensive experience supporting children’s social-emotional development, managing classroom and program environments, communicating with families, and collaborating with staff to provide quality educational experiences. I take pride in building positive relationships with students and creating structured environments where children feel supported and valued. In my current role as Program Coordinator (05/01/26–Present), I assist with daily program operations, support staff, coordinate activities, communicate with families, and help ensure programs are safe, organized, and meaningful for students. My previous experience as a preschool teacher and substitute teacher has strengthened my skills in classroom management, behavior support, and adapting to the individual needs of children. My education in Early Childhood Development through Bakersfield College and Taft College, combined with my hands-on experience and CPR/First Aid certification, has provided me with a strong foundation in child development, safety, and effective student support strategies. I would appreciate the opportunity to bring my dedication, leadership skills, and commitment to children and families to your school community. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my experience can support your students and staff. Sincerely, Trisha Sillman
