Barista
At 7 Brew, I worked as a barista and a server. I had to make a variety of different customized drinks and take orders while conversing with customers. It was a very fast-paced environment, and I had to learn on the fly as I had never made coffee or espresso before. Even though I was working very fast-paced, I had to maintain cleanliness in the workplace as I had several people working around me and spilling or not cleaning something could result in the contamination of orders. Paying attention to detail is also very important because minuscule changes would often be made to orders that are crucial for customer health and can affect the taste of the drink. Lastly, I had to learn time management skills so I could be as efficient as possible in getting drinks to customers.
