Washington County Tractor is a growing equipment dealership group with nine stores throughout Texas. Currently we have an opening in Temple, Texas for a Service Manager position that needs to be filled with a motivated, self-directed individual that can oversee technicians, manage a service department and provide a positive customer service experience.
  
The service manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable function of the service department in addition to managing the service work orders and technicians' efficiency,
  
The service manager is responsible to 

* Interact with customers when they are experiencing mechanical/technical problems with equipment. Works with the service technician to determine the work to be done and communicate the quoted work back to the customer.
* Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to technicians according to their mechanical skills and knowledge. WCTractor services a variety of products that include riding lawn mowers, commercial mowing equipment, utility vehicles, utility tractors, agricultural implements, and skid steer loaders. 
* Manage the yard equipment and storage.
  
Essential Functions 

* Develops, maintains, and adheres to the WCTractor system for scheduling all service work, both customer and internal.
* Maintains all management reports necessary to audit the performance of department and individual employees. Service Manager oversees the Repair Order process, which involves the time required for repair, parts used during the job, and the final invoice presented to the customer for payment.
* Ensures that all manufacturer Warranty and Product Improvement Programs are completed according to manufacturer's requirements and submitted to corporate warranty.
* Ensures that Service Department is equipped with the necessary special tools and service equipment is available and maintained in good working order.
* Always conducts self so as to present a professional image of the dealership.
* Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership.
  
Experience or Qualifications

* Previous supervisory or management experience preferred 
* Strong organizational skills and leadership abilities.
* Basic mechanical ability/understanding of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems is necessary.
* Computer skills are necessary to oversee the Repair Order process.
* Effectively speak one-on-one or before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
* Interpret department financial statements.
* Negotiate customer complaints to a satisfactory resolution.
* Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to pass Pre-employment Background Screening and Drug Test
