Summary

I have solidified strong skillsets in project management and strategic planning, as well as bridging interdepartmental communication gaps. I created sustainable outreach methods, including Public Service Announcements, radio/TV appearances, and senior news publications. In addition, I have published monthly newsletter, providing internal and external stakeholders with detailed data-driven facts on the project's community impact. In addition, I am trained in Basic Procurement Methods.

I am well-skilled in networking with donors and stakeholders and acting as the public representative for my organization. My restructuring of my former organization's website improved the user interface and enhanced its social media presence, resulting in increased public interactions and donation participation. I am adaptable, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suites and administrative duties, and able to work well in high-stress situations, solve complex problems, and effectively meet deadlines.

Relevant Career Experience

As a Grant Manager, I managed the grant's lifespan from inception's to conclusion. This includes crafting engaging public relations materials through social media, press release, radio and tv appearances. The grant was well received by the community, as well as internal and external partnerships. The grant's success was reflected with data-driven facts, which led to an awarded 2 year continuation, additional $200,000 grant funding, and an unsolicited $100,000 fund award.

As a AmeriCorps VISTA and VISTA Leader, I wrote and was awarded several grants to address community development and youth safety. During this time, I created donor-facing materials to engage new and old donors about organizational milestones and upcoming events. This included creation and dissemination of organizational 'swag' to gain community interest which lead to an increase in donations from local organizations and community members. As a leader, I recruited and managed VISTA throughout the state guiding them through donor engagements and grant writing for their host sites.
