Enrollment

• Develop community partnerships to promote recruitment and enrollment
• Contact new families and offer support with DCPS and Head Start enrollment
• Collaborate with school staff to achieve enrollment goals

Case Management

• Complete a pre and post needs assessment with each family
• Engage families in the goal-setting process
• Connect families with resources per their identified needs and goals

Family Engagement

• Welcome families by supporting their transition into Head Start.
• Build positive relationships within the school community by honoring each person's culture and identity.
• Host and support parent workshops, parent committee meetings, and school events to promote a positive school climate and family engagement

Attendance

• Track and monitor daily student attendance to support family well-being and school readiness
• Partner with families to address attendance concerns
• Collaborate with school attendance team to achieve DCPS and Head Start attendance goals

Health

• Conduct health outreach to obtain current health and dental forms
• Ensure every family has health insurance, a medical home, and a dental home
• Promote family-well being by identifying and addressing wellness needs
