  • 1. Manage Customer and Key Stakeholders - Executive functions (25%) :
  • Customer Relationship (10%) : One of the Key responsibilities is to work with the customer day to day understand the need and propose solutions and build a consultative relationship. Collaborate with customer to help them succeed and increase revenue for the organization.
  • VOC and Customer Satisfaction (10%) : Get constant feedback by connecting with customer, project team and other stakeholders. Identify the client's requirements, concerns and feedback by conducting detailed discussions/meetings with clients, Architects, functional users, and process owners. Discuss with the stakeholders on the projects and team performance, key metrics status, project progress and sort out necessary corrective and preventive actions.
  • Executive Connect (5%): Connect with UPS leaders and Management to review the projects executed in their portfolio. Review key metrics, best practices, lesson learned and business benefit both in terms of cost and time.
  • 2. Program Management -Executive functions (25%) :
  • Monitor and Control projects (10%): Ensure project execution best practices are followed and documented; assign or re-assign tasks to reporting staff; monitor the work progress; ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction; Conduct Governance meeting with customers.
  • Scope Management (5%) : Clearly understand the scope of each assignment across the engagement and document activities In Scope and Out of Scope and work with the customer and team to reach a common understanding. Review and sign-off Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Planning Transitions (2%) : Work with the teams and customer and ensure the transitions are planned properly with sufficient time and coverage. Agree on KT deliverables like Project Plan, Support Guides, and FMEA. Track the transitions and review the progress with customers. Understand any risks/issues and facilitate discussion and propose solutions between the team and the customer.
  • Escalation Management (3%) : Sense possible escalations and take appropriate actions to avoid it. Document the escalation plan and process and communicate the same to customer. In case of escalations, directly work with the customer to understand the issues and direct the team appropriately to bring the situation under control. Involve additional resources and help from other teams as required.
  • Responding to RFPs (5%) : Typically, the customer requests for proposals from various vendors when larger scope is added to the current engagement. Work with the presales team to build a proposal.
  • 3. Resource Management - Executive Functions (20%) :
  • Resource Allocation (6%) : Understand the mix and match of skills and the timeline required for a particular assignment and allocate the right resources. Forecast resource requirements, raise request with HR on time, and be prepared for any new assignments. Block future resource requirement based on the forecast and pipeline.
  • Resource Alignment and Staff management (10%): Ensure middle management is aligned to organization objectives and goals. Manage direct reporting staff's (Project Manager and Solution Architects) daily work activities and advise accordingly. Provide staff with operational guidelines and direction. Keep them abreast of company's goals and client's expectations or changes.
  • Performance Review and Appraisal (3%): Review project-based performance appraisal and annual performance appraisal. Discuss on areas of improvement and suggest promotions and salary increases based on performance. Detail out each project deliverable vs. staff's target completion.
  • Reward and Recognition (1%): Motivate and inspire people by taking appropriate measures. Recognize the performers with awards like Pat-on-the-back and Associate of the month. With help of Tech Mahindra learning team, conduct technical workouts and process training for associate to be on the latest technology and to enhance their skills.
  • 4. Business Development -Executive Functions (21%) :
  • Business Promotion (2%) : Promoting Tech Mahindra brand and strengths. Organizing events and activities for customer and Tech Mahindra teams to participate interact and share valuable information.
  • Work on Strategic business opportunities (12%) : Understand what the UPS, business is doing and it's changing priorities in terms of technology, business growth and spends area. Keep up-to-date information on the industry as well as the UPS's business by running through Industry reports, leader's blogs and participating in UPS's CIO chats, business meets, planning and budgeting workouts. These reports and forums gives significant information on industry sector as well as the UPS's business which will help to articulate and discuss strategic aspects, market changes and their impact.
  • Initiatives (6%): Participate in business workout and forums organized by UPS and disseminate the idea, business goals and process change that UPS is bringing in. Identify and involve key resources to work on new initiatives that can highlight as value addition, early engagement and alignment with business.
  • Revenue pipeline and Forecasting (1%): Plan and Maintain business pipeline and forecast revenue for growth and resource planning. Anticipate and communicate to the Project Managers and offshore team on UPS's resourcing needs and required capabilities and to build required competency.
  • 5. Operations Support - Non-Executive Functions (9%) :
  • Business Continuity Program (2%): Ensure Business Continuity Program (BCP) is established in case of disaster. Conduct BCP drill for the engagement by invoking different site operation and Disaster recovery plan.
  • Invoicing and Collection (6%) : Take care of invoicing cycles for each project, advice, approve the effort submission in invoicing tools, and upload it for finance team to send it to collection.
