I am an enthusiastic, highly-motivated high school student interested in basic research lab/ clinical research of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. I wish to learn more about the medical field and contribute to the development of novel diabetes treatment as my grandmother is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 10+ years. As I grew up in China, I took many advanced Biology, Chemistry, and Physics classes starting from 6th grade. I am ranked in the top 1% in my school and maintained straight As. I am confident in my knowledge to provide efficient assistance, as well as pursue my interest and gain valuable research experiences that would be a lifelong benefit for me.
