  • Assist with the implementation of case tracking and classification, central prison and detention center count systems, and file management, operating systems, and processes within the identified facilities, including the central prison and detention center.
  • Develop and implement select strategies, policies, and plans affecting case tracking and classification operations, as well as the delivery of practice advisory, knowledge, and learning services relating to case tracking and classification.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze factual material in preparation for case tracking and classification summaries for inmates housed in the facilities.
  • Develop and formulate appropriate individual program goals.
  • Prepare a written document based on a review of the written record, and adjustments to the facility and the program.
  • Meet with the inmates periodically to discuss the inmates' progress, attitude, or any particular problems within the facility or in selecting an appropriate solution. Informs inmates of programs available, along with any special services that may be used in addressing problems.
  • Review criminal history, current charges, and case files to assess risk to the public, other inmates, and correctional facility staff.
  • Entering inmates' information and case files' data into a special online database called CMS (Case Management System) on a daily basis.
  • Managing case files by putting them in file cabinets according to a special serial number called PINs (Prisoner Identification Numbers) and DINs (Detainee Identification Numbers).
