  • We were responsible for replacing any damaged pipe sections
  • Preparing pipelines for transport from either job sites or storage facilities where the company’s field shipyards were located
  • Worked with cranes, forklifts, and front-end loaders in placing subline pipes in storage on dry land
  • As an oiler on a cutter suction dredge, I was in the engine room department
  • Maintaining diesel engines that moved generators and pumps that were a part of the dredge’s operating system
  • Working with engineers in the maintenance and servicing of various diesel engines (EMD, Caterpillar, Detroit, and Cummins)
