Summary

I am a leader. I work hard and do my job. I pay attention to everything around me and I always have and will try to do better even if i haven’t gotten the opportunity to learn something. I know that if i learn while I’m leading then i know im doing it right. Whatever job is thrown at me i know i can handle it but i will stand my ground and understand what is fair, ethical, and reasonable to ask of your staff as well as of yourself. I go above and beyond as i should but i know not to let it get taken for-granted or advantage of. I would love the opportunity to work in any financial field as it has stability and growth while still maintaining the set schedule that i desire. I understand that every work day and environment is different. I am open to overtime, coming in earlier or leaving later with the appropriate notice. I would love to learn from this company and if there is no chance for this position, please consider me for any other full time positions that you have open paying over $20. Thank you, Abigail

Work History

Assistant Food Service Leader

Kwiktrip
Appleton, Wisconsin
06.2021 - Current
  • I am responsible for ordering for the entire kitchen which i use control forms as well as writing lists and estimating the amount of product we use by looking at reports. I directly give work related suggestions and advice as well as multitasking the many duties in our kitchen. As a kitchen lead, i am also expected to go up and help front with whatever possible in short times. This job requires me to do my best always and maintain professional relationships with my higher ups.
  • This requires me to make everything suitable for the rest of my staff and succeed in helping my next shift with their tasks and making sure everything is done on time the correct way.
  • I am in charge of not just my employees tasks but i am also the deciding factor in how they’re feeling at work. Having an energizing attitude but not one that can be walked on at work has gotten me very far and bleeds into the minds of every person that I have trained in this job. Communicating directly to each new hire at work makes them feel less out of place and more aware of the job they’re in and i help them make the choice if they want to peruse a higher position.
  • As a manger here i am also in charge of handling unwanted tension in our staff.
  • Another part of kitchen management is that I get the opportunity to help my kitchen leader grow in how to handle more tasks and create a better work place. This includes my other equally important staff and equal “rank” leads.
  • This job requires my availability to be in their hands and i do what i can to be flexible but not pushed around. It is an essential part of this job that i do this so that everyone is more willing to want to work more and help without feeling the burden of pressure from any manager whatsoever.
  • Performed daily inspections of kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards were met.
  • Trained workers in food preparation, money handling, and cleaning roles to facilitate hotspot operations.
  • Coordinated with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the organization.
  • Trained new employees to perform duties.
  • Note: (This job has showed me more than enough and i would love to stay but i am looking for something that does pay me more than $20 an hour. This job has been amazing to me but i want to move up and start a career which i have more than enough drive for.)

Painter/Instructor/Instructional Assistant

Board and Brush
Sheboygan, Wisconsin
09.2020 - 08.2021
  • Calculated cost and quantities of required materials based on surface measurements or work orders of our wood displays and group classes
  • Dealt with vinyl film as well as putting it in our machines and printing/cutting through it
  • It was a short lived job that i was excited about doing. But mixing my passion with work only made me want to help more which wasn’t required of my job title. It was a very fun job but $9 an hour was not the greatest for me. Even if i did love helping with the classes and talking to each of our students

Store Shift Manager

Dairy Queen
Sheboygan, Wisconsin
04.2017 - 05.2021
  • As a manager, I was responsible for handling our; safe drops, deposits, safe counts, as well as being able to manage everyone’s breaks while giving them everything they needed to grow. The company skipped a few steps often but myself and one other manager made sure those steps were not ignored or missed at our stores. As a manager there, I got to lead younger employees and help them build their work ethics and form good habits. I also ordered for the store on many occasions whenever our general manager or assistant manager were gone. Putting away those orders in their respective places with limited window time while being attentive to the front was also a daily task I made sure to master.
  • Resolved conflicts among staff members in a professional manner.
  • Coordinated shift workers for inventory receiving, auditing and restocking.
  • Provided leadership, insight and mentoring to newly hired employees to supply knowledge of various company programs.
  • Upheld company standards and compliance requirements for operations.
  • Communicated with other shift managers to facilitate continuum of customer service.

Note: (I did work only three days a week at this job as i was only 16 but I was attending school juggling assignments as well as reports. I also did end up getting a job at the Dairy Queen mentioned in my resume around the same time for more income so i would be working a total of a normal full timer with both jobs.)

Cashier

JOANN Fabrics and Crafts
Kohler, Wisconsin
01.2020 - 07.2020
  • As a cashier at Joann’s, once again, i handled money, cleaning, stocking, communicating and learning. This job was short lived because of how young i was and also i was working another job with this job as well. I felt that this job wasn’t meant for me only because I wanted more hours than they could give to me. I understood that they weren’t allowed to and that’s why that job did end. It was also very slow pace and it was not as challenging as I needed it to be at a young age.
  • This job required you to only be up front. You were to be very attentive and aware of every guest that came in. As well as filling orders making sure everything is correct too.
  • I learned to be able how to communicate better with guests as well as employees.
  • Resolved customer complaints professionally in accordance with company policy.
  • Completed daily recovery tasks to keep areas clean and neat for maximum productivity.
  • Helped customers find specific products, answered questions, and offered product advice.
  • Greeted customers promptly and responded to questions.
  • Learned roles of other departments to provide coverage and keep store operational.

Cashier

Cave ent. Burger king
Appleton, Wisconsin
02.2017 - 08.2017
  • As a cashier here, this job was meant for me to grow my work experience outside of working with and for my family at their shops in copper Harbor. This job was a necessity in my growth as a teenager. I was responsible for: cleaning, cashiering, handling money (correctly), making sure that i got my break before the end of the shift after it was manageable (not busy/a good time to). I was responsible for a whole window line and made sure to deal with customer complaints well and resolve them as fast and responsibly as i could that wouldn’t negatively affect the customer or the company.
  • Greeted customers and answered any questions they had about the store's products and services.
  • Accepted cash and credit card payments, issued receipts and provided change.
  • Resolved customer complaints professionally in accordance with company policy.
  • Completed daily recovery tasks to keep areas clean and neat for maximum productivity.
