As part of the Working with Children and Youth program at Sabin-Schellarberg, I worked inside the preschool. My duties were as follows:

• Applied new and learned skills to my work, building my knowledge in care-based careers.
• Gained a base knowledge of how to teach preschool-aged children and aid in their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Completed steps 1-7 of the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) required for childhood care and education professionals.

*Sabin-Schellenberg is a career technical center where all high school students in the North Clackamas School District can go to get gain hands-on knowledge and certificates for many different careers.

• Volunteered 300 hours as a student leader.
• Supported students in groups and individually with any emotional or social problems.
• Organized team-building activities and workshops for student groups.
• Created a welcoming, safe community with students and staff.
• Followed safety regulations accordingly.
• Taught 6th grade students environmental science and social-emotional skills.
