DECA:

-Placed first in regional for Hospitality and Tourism

-Placed top 10 in DECA states + received 99 score on roleplay.

-Qualified for internationals DECA

-Reserved spot because of DECA placement in local newspaper called "Star Review"

Muslim Student Association Club:

-Confounder of club

-Worked on 'Carpe Cafe Ole" as head coordinator and had 100+ participants > news articles posted online

-Emailed legislatures, BOCES superintendents, governors, and those within the Teachers Union about having Eid off

-Ever since MSA has started (2 years ago) we have received Eid al-Fitr off as a recognized holiday (2 times)

-Presented at Board of Education meetings in front of superintendent and board members about the Muslim identity

-Presented all audience of K-12 within the school district, went to various schools to present

-Presented for school's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department

-Secretary of club

-Collaborated with Syracuse University's MSA on initiatives

-Recorded various videos as resources for K-12 for the education to continue post graduation of high school

-Interviewed with school's journalism team known as "The Lifeguard" two times about MSA

-Helped aid material, knowledge, about current events going on in the Gaza region and was able to be part of an article for the school about it

Student Association for Political Awareness (SAPA) President:

-Able to get my peers/classmates to feel confident to vote in NY's upcoming primaries and this presidential election

-Current in Work in Progress working with Syracuse politicians to have them speak at our club meeting, they asked us to join us for a meeting!

-Open discussions about current world politics and fostering a comfort environment to speak your opinions

Mock Trial Vice President

-Helped bring in more members, started with 8 members to now 20+

Spanish Club President

-Indulging in Latin/Hispanic culture and teaching those what I've learned about the culture and the practices affiliated

-Volunteered for a soup kitchen, dispensed meals to the homeless, even gave them extra when they asked! :D

-Raised money during mini golfing for medical research

-Made friendship bracelets for children in hospitals

-Learned about redlining, African American history, history of credit federal unions, and implicit bias
