Hi, I'm Aileen Sierra. I'm from Anaheim, CA, and I'm 22 years old. I can be summed up in a few words: social butterfly, goal-oriented, hardworking, and humble. I was the only girl in a large Mexican household full of brothers. Being surrounded by boys encouraged me to embrace my athletic side over the years, which enabled me to participate in sports, particularly soccer. I enjoy meeting new friends everywhere I go in hopes of creating long lasting friendships.
I currently work at Joes Italian ice which is a popular ice cream parlor located in Anaheim, CA. I first started off as a team member who just worked behind the register taking and making orders for the customer at my window. Once I got promoted to Shift Lead, I got more responsibilities such as making the Ice we serve everyday, counting money in the office and managing an opening or closing shift. Since its located near Disneyland, we get a lot of tourists along with locals keeping us very busy especially at night. This work environment is very fast paced and we all must work together to not only have a smooth opening/closing but shift for the day.
I worked at Atlantis Play Center which is an enclosed park where families and day camps can bring their children to play safely. Going into the interview I had no idea which position I was exactly applying for but once I was chosen to be an employee of the city, the head decided I'd be a good fit to be around children. I was the one who takes entry at the office and watches out for strangers and any children that try to run out without a parent or leader.
I worked as a Team Member at Jamba Juice at the Outlets at Orange and got a bit more experience with food service. I was a team member so I would make smoothies and bowls and also be on the register taking orders if needed. I was promoted to shift lead earlier on this year but with the start of COVID, the mall shut down and I had found another job which was the reason for me leaving Jamba Juice.
As a vendor at Moda 2000, I was in charge of assisting families who came with their Quinceanera in search of their dream dress. I would greet them in and walk them along the store and provide them multiple options based on everyone's interest. Once she sees one she likes, I put a quince dress on her to check sizing and then talk to the family about payments and shipment.
