Active volunteer at Center Church of Welcome

I started volunteering in the Children's Department in 2006 helping with various community activities and teaching Sunday school.  A few years later I became the Children's Ministry Chairperson and with the help of the Sunday School Superintendent we planned all lessons and activities for the church and community children.  These activities included Christmas plays, pancake fundraisers, small groups, bake sales, Easter Celebrations for the community to include, breakfast, Easter egg hunt, games and crafts. I also planned breakfast with Santa.  Each of these events were blessed with the presence of 150 - 200 people. Around 2012 I became the 4th and 5th grade Sunday school teacher.  I facilitated craft projects where we blessed the community and church members by delivering them baked goods, yard decorations and painted rocks.  We held lock-ins and would visit the homeless shelter with snacks and crafts for the residents.  In 2014 I began volunteering with the youth.  In 2017 I became the Youth Council Chairperson and still hold this position today.  I have helped plan and facilitate mission trips to other states and Puerto Rico.  Fundraisers to include, chicken stews, auctions, yard sales and a variety of community meals.  I currently sit on the Center Church Board, Center Christian Academy's Board, Worship Committee, Centered Service Committee, Children's Committee and Center's Women's Committee.
