Additional Information

I spent three weeks in Thailand last summer, 2023 on a study abroad program with my University. It was an animal science program dedicated to students interested in the veterinary field. I spent a week learning about wild animal management at an elephant sanctuary, getting to understand the elephants and their anatomy. The next week was spent at a local clinic for dogs and cats, learning about surgical procedures and assisting in a neuter and spay on both dogs and cats. My final week was spent scuba diving to collect marine research on indicator species in local coral reefs. I obtained roughly 30 hours of volunteer and service hours, as well as clinic hours, and learned more than I ever would have known

Additional Experience

Home for Good Dogs Rescue, 10/01/19, 09/01/21, I volunteered to work with dogs and help them find forever homes. My shifts mainly occurred on adoption days when families come to view available dogs and meet them. My role required me to make sure the dogs have water, toys, and are content while in their kennels. Periodically, we would take them out to walk each of them and/or show them to interested families.
