Draw blood work and EKGs for patient who are schedule to get a procedure .Gather information to make charts
such as consult notes , ultra sound notes, blood work results , EKG for upcoming procedure
Answering phone calls providing patients information about what they should expect from the procedure and
give instructions
Patients arrive for their procedures Venogram or Angiogram/ Aortagram , prep them take vital signs and put in
IV and check there sugar level
Once patient come out the OR I immediate care connect them to a vital signs machine and record there vital
signs
Do an ACT ( Active Clotting Time ) to check if the timing is correct to pull out the catherters from patients groin
once I pull I apply pressure for 10 – 20 minutes to make sure the patient isn’t bleeding then I apply some
antibiotic a gauze and a tagaderm
I assist the patient if needing to use a bed pan or a urinal
Contact the patient the next day to see how they did over the night
Once patients is ready to leave I wheel them out to their driver’s car I clean/sanitize and fix up all the stretchers
for the next day
Restock all supplies blankets, syringes, needles etc.
