I've kept to a relatively modest professional life, oft focusing on work that inspires in proportion to pure enrichment and wealth.
Conducted property maintenance for apartment rentals with my father from 1998-2021. Did additional contractor work elsewhere.
Operated "East Pacific Surf Camp," a surf tourism business for surfers.
In recent years, I've come to enjoy participating in the 'ragged,' public process concerning high-rise planning in Boston. I'm well known in Development's public process as a protagonist, encouraging a reluctant City to embrace (more) skyscrapers and tall, residential high-rises near rail transit hubs to create more of a world class city, with an iconic urban aesthetic to sharply increase revenues to mitigate their housing shortage.
My efforts led to a "Downtown Planning Study" to discover where additional height could be added.
Before Marty Walsh resigned as mayor, to be the new Secy of Labor, his administration encouraged me to run for the Downtown Planning Board to help guide a few high-rise projects through the public review process to reach the construction phase.
I have written many informal reports to help the public and planners see projects that incite controversy more clearly.
I was instrumental in helping resolve (2) impasses between the Boston Civic Design Commission and developers for skyscrapers proposed at "Winthrop Square," recently 'topped out' and at "Central Wharf."
I am currently attempting to mobilize a developer-architect team to propose for permit to build (what would be) Boston's seventh >200m skyscraper, in Boston's West End.
I can provide a sample cover letter being shown to esteemed architects and developers.
