Accomplishments

  • During my tenure at ICS Technology, I was responsible for a massive network takeover project at a location known as The Fort. This professional development space was over 100,000 sq ft in size, and hosted several challenges to networking. Over the span of four months, myself and two other were able to successfully rehabilitate over 95% of the existing network, providing crucial hardware upgrades for the business owners calling The Fort home. Access points were swapped, networking cabinets were installed, new switches purchased, security camera systems brought back online, and router replacements were racked. This exhaustive project attracted more tenants to the building while providing reliable, high-speed internet all the while. It was a hard, immensely rewarding process.
  • Serving in my role as Reliability Engineer at Starry, I assisted in creating an internal Wiki. Our goal was to develop comprehensive documentation for our PTMP radio products in a language that could be easily understood by anyone in the company. With my team, we created numerous pages about our Comet, Trident, and Titan radio systems that were highly navigable. This initiative significantly impacted our hiring process, making it easier to train new Tier 2 staff by providing them with the most critical technical information in a rapid and easily comprehendible format. Additionally, our Sales and Marketing teams used the Wiki regularly to educate customers about how our technology works to deliver lightning-fast internet.
  • While working at Starry as a Subscriber/Installer, I was asked to implement an extensive network for a garden-style condo community in Polaris. Over two months, we brought 132 customers online using three Titan AP radios, seventeen client-side Comet radios, and two miles of buried coaxial cable. My role in the project was to direct the placement of the client-side radios and house boxes while working with the burial teams to confirm line placement.
  • During my time as a Sales Associate at Original Mattress Factory, I utilized various Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, to create a customer support platform for tracking ongoing issues and tickets. I collaborated with our Customer Service Manager to establish an interconnected system of spreadsheets, forms, and a database to monitor, track, and present statistical data. This data helped the company identify potential issues in the production materials used in the factory. I also created a similar system to analyze and present sales data from every store in Columbus. My presentation of regional sales data in meetings helped showcase areas of growth and identify areas that required attention. This was the first time such a system had been used to automate the gathering and presentation of sales data at Original Mattress Factory.
