  • Supervised team of accountants ensuring, on a monthly average, 640k payments totaling over 879 million dollars, posted promptly and correctly to customer’s account. This includes US, Canadian and Mexican customer accounts and payments.
  • Managed current payment vendors for 8 years. Provided feedback and guidance on service levels, reviewed and paid monthly invoices in FIORE, and directed the vendor and the vendor’s vendor to process payments to ALFA and SAP according to MBFS standards. Obtained refunds when service levels were not met.
  • Served as payment subject matter expert and primary contact for Office of General Counsel, Fraud, various headquarters departments, and Fort Worth Call Center teams; provided expertise in payment processing and posting, and testified as a prosecution witness in several court cases (FBI and US Federal Attorney).
  • Reviewed and analyzed month-end Lockbox reconciliations for accuracy, documented discrepancies, researched out-of-balance items, and engaged relevant teams (bank and internal) to resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide monthly payment reports to Senior Management in Headquarters and Fort Worth Call Center. Review and analyze payment channels to identify trends in payment usage. Continue to push for a reduction in paper checks by supporting the Online Pay/RePay business Team.
  • Knowledge of payment controls, including but not limited to NACHA (ACH) rules, Wire guidelines, OFAC restrictions, Anti-Money Laundering, PCI compliance and Credit Card posting and chargeback rules.
  • Selected, interviewed, and developed employees, ensuring exposure to audit processes (SOC1, ICS, UDAP, CFPB, KPMG, and ABS), leading project meetings, and fostering ownership and vendor relationships (Citibank, Repay, and Deluxe) to build a knowledgeable team.
  • Created and completed test cases in JIRA for new payment vendor and bank implementation projects.
  • Experience with new vendor and new bank relationship implementation – 2017: Researching potential Lockbox and bank vendors, writing and releasing RFP/RFI, coordinating selected vendor presentations.
