- Since I was doing sports and taking AP classes in high school, I wasn't allowed to get an actual job due to me barely having any time on my hands. But I still managed to do some work, which was sell tickets for football and basketball games, to help raise money for my softball team.
- During the football and basketball games, each of us would take turns in shifts and sit at the front gate, scanning tickets that were bought online already, or selling tickets to people at the gate who hadn't already bought one.
- We also had to check each ticket to make sure they were bought for the right game, school, and date. We had to make sure no one was scamming us or the school.
- We also welcomed families and students, offering assistance to help them purchase tickets online, locate their assigned seats based on the school they came from, and point them to the snack bar in case they got hungry or thirsty.
- Maintained work area and kept cash drawer organized.
- Working together with the team also allowed us to build a bond and better relationship with each other. We got to know each other more, whether they were new or old to the team.
- Assisted customers by providing information and resolving complaints. With some families there were many complaints when buying the wrong tickets or some kids not being able to get in because they don't go to either of the schools playing. We and the adult staff members working with us had to handle each individual, providing them with information and trying to calm them down, so there was no scene.

- Another little job I was able to do was help out the snack bar to raise money for the Chinese club. I wasn't in the club or familiar with it, but I had friends who were in it, and they needed the help, so I volunteered.
- Received food orders from individuals and explained offerings. I helped explain what we were selling during the games, take orders, make the food, and give them the order they wanted, making sure they paid first.
- Before the games start, we went to both the snack bars, one on the visitor side and one on the home side, and each of us who were working in that area helped clean and set up, getting everything ready for when people come. After the game, we all help out again by cleaning and packing everything up, taking everything back to the teacher's classroom, and seeing how much we made for the club.
- I only knew my friends in that club, but working the snack bar for games allowed me to meet new people I never knew before, getting to know them more, and start being their friends. Creating a bond and a good, friendly relationship with them that helped us around our work environment.
