Summary

I am a graduate from the Overlake School, now attending Boston University. I am very passionate about working in the food service industry, as I'm majoring in Nutrition and Health, but have also spent many years in the dance and theatre community, and both these passions reflect my experiences. My time spent volunteering and working has taught me a lot of valuable skills marketing, responsibility, management, and leadership and I am excited to bring that to a new team.

Work History

Shift Lead

Nothing Bundt Cakes
  • Working as a shift lead at Nothing Bundt Cakes included being cross-trained in all positions, and additionally some managerial tasks. Some of my responsibilities included counting inventory, opening and closing the store, stepping into different roles in whatever department needed the most help, and assisting with customers in person and over the phone all during the busy holiday season.

Dance Instructor

Pro Club
  • As a Dance Instructor for kids, ages ranging from 5-12, I was responsible for designing, choreographing, and teaching dance to kids. From the time kids arrived to when parents would pick them up, along with other instructors, I was in charge of finding engaging ways to introduce and teach dance to these kids. I worked with other instructors to divide kids by age or skill, then led different types of games, stretches, and warm ups, before teaching them a skill-appropriate dance routine to perform at the end of the week.

Choreographer/Assistant Camp Director

The Overlake School
  • Taught dance lessons to children from 2nd-8th grade, and choreographed two dance numbers for each group of students for them to perform in front of an audience without help. I developed fun dance warm ups to keep students engaged, taught choreography to kids with little to no previous dance experience, and focused on having maximum student enjoyment and participation by finding ways to incorporate their ideas and feedback.
