• Inbound/outbound calls: Contact, interview, and obtain statements from insured individuals, claimants, and witnesses.
• Evaluate facts supplied by investigation to determine the insured’s liability extent.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlement of first and third-party physical damage claims for automobiles within established settlement authority limits, as well as negotiate any excessive storage charges.
• Prepares reports on investigations, settlements, claims denials, and individual evaluations of involved parties.
• Document the loss, address immediate questions regarding the claims process, and review and analyze the vehicle settlement value.
• Provides coordination with internal functions to include appraisal operations, SIU, Counsel, Subrogation, and Salvage.
• Refers to claims to subrogation as appropriate.
• Handles arrangement for salvage disposition or another recovery.
• Apply claim handling procedures to process claims, initiate payments, and close claim files.
