I worked in two locations, both residential facilities dealing with eating disorders and one in mood & anxiety disorders.

I facilitated the daily schedule of the patients like participating with them in therapeutic groups like CBT, art and other educational classes. I meal coached and was a source of emotional guidance and support for patients struggling with mental health. I worked on the child and adolescent floor and with adults.

  • Provided crisis intervention services, successfully de-escalating situations and ensuring patient safety.

  • Implemented therapeutic activities that promoted skill-building, self-awareness, and healthy coping mechanisms.

Provided free resources to disadvantaged women who are pregnant or who have recently given birth. Classes include how to take care of a newborn, resources for food, clothing, etc to help with the transition process into motherhood.

We tested their cortisol levels of mom and baby (if born already) throughout the classes to see how the resources have helped with stress levels.

  • Participated actively in regular meetings with fellow researchers to discuss project updates, challenges faced, and lessons learned during ongoing activities.
  • Organized research materials, maintaining a well-ordered workspace conducive to productivity.
