I worked open, middle and closing shifts at three different locations over the last few years while I was home from school. Many of my closing shifts would be alone, so I know how to handle opening and closing shift responsibilities by myself. Through my years in food service I have gained great strengths surrounding customer service. I took orders from customers and was able to responsibly maintain a cash drawer. I was able to memorize our entire menu which included specialty coffee and espresso drinks as well as breakfast and lunch foods consisting of sandwiches, salads, and waffles. During my time here I trained many members of our team, and handled that responsibility well. My boss and coworkers also always complimented my attention to detail when cleaning for closing shifts.
Here I was responsible for a number of different aspects of the office portion of HoliMont Ski Resort. I have had to take pictures for ski passes, as well as file information for said ski passes and memberships. I would also have to make guest reservations into a program online, and file those as well. I would sell ski tickets out of the front office ticket window. I would train coworkers how to use programs that ran the entire HoliMont system. Here I had to be able to manage a cash drawer and sell tickets to guests of the resort. I would have opening shifts as well as closing shifts which both had responsibilities regarding money and filing.
