Joshua Buchanan

I am currently a sophomore pre-med student at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. In addition, I am completing the EMT program at the college. I am eager to apply my training in the field. As an EMT, I aspire not only to provide critical care during emergencies but also to offer reassurance and comfort to those in distress. I am dedicated to supporting my fellow EMTs and paramedics. I am reliable, confident in my abilities, and dedicated to life long learning. My passion for the sciences drives my pursuit of excellence in my studies. I received my secondary education through homeschooling. During middle school, I was actively involved in Civil Air Patrol where I learned valuable skills such as following orders and leadership responsibilities. In high school, I gained practical experience working at Arby's restaurant, where I honed my communication skills with the public and learned the importance of professionalism and teamwork. After high school, I became a certified pharmacy technician and currently have one year of experience. I excel in multitasking and thrive in fast-paced pharmacy environments. My skills include filling prescriptions accurately, meticulous labeling, inventory management, and maintaining updated pharmacy records. I am committed to helping individuals manage their medications effectively.
