  • Act as the Credit Officer for the Carolinas region to include offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Charleston and Greenville
  • Decision commercial loan requests up to $35MM dependent upon internal risk rating
  • Lead meetings with credit support staff regarding portfolio performance and any migration into/out of criticized ratings
  • Provide guidance and expertise around structure of transactions
  • During my tenure, the commercial loan book within the Carolinas has grown by over $1.5 billion with no charge-offs on any deals I approved

  • Approved/declined individual middle market loans with loan authority up to $12.5 million depending on the size of the warehouse facility
  • Developed the scope of and led on-site field audits, including meetings with senior management to assess client underwriting quality, testing collateral and reviewing various borrowing base and other data reports
  • Monitored the loan portfolio on a daily basis to include tracking loan prices on LoanX, reviewing public information on all loans via Bloomberg and initiating discussions on problem loans with asset managers
