I believe every individual has a story to tell and a lesson to teach. Through higher education, my ultimate goal is to serve my community by working as a physician. I hope to get involved in my study of biochemistry while an undergrad, and soon help conduct research here at the University of Arkansas.
As a shift lead at Jersey Mike's Subs, I've had the opportunity to:
- Conduct interviews and train new employees. This has helped expand my teaching abilities.
- Help my coworkers bloom in the workplace by maintaining a safe, fun work environment.
- Connect with my coworkers and customers, ultimately helping my communication skills.
- Be trusted with many responsibilities, including managing closing shifts, solving customer complaints, handling money, and recording inventory levels.
I am currently a puppy sitter for the Canine Companions Collar Scholars at UARK. This is a club where we help raise and train service dogs for individuals with disabilities, free of charge. I have participated in training circles, informational meetings, tabling events, and many others.
