The Broadband Technician II is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. BBT II's are responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF and fiber to ethernet signal levels, preforming troubleshooting/repair or installation of routers and modems utilizing CISCO, Juniper, HP Pro Curve Switches and Modems as well as RF Taps. Such equipment located in the electrical/IDF rooms of residential buildings or on telephone poles. The BBT II is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed to complete work orders on a timely manner and effectively.
Radio Operator/Transmissions Systems Operator are responsible to perform and supervise the installation and maintenance of radio and satellite systems. Establishing tactical vehicle encrypted nodes and as well as command center communication nodes. Radio/Transmissions Systems Operator are responsible to maintain records, inspect, and account for million of dollars worth of communications equipment and report any discrepancies, order parts and inventory of such equipment. Such operators enable tactical encrypted communications on a HF, VHF, UHF frequency spectrums to ensure all communication is sound for training and or combat ready.
Was awarded a Meritorious Mast by Lieutenant Colonel J.L. Peterson USMC Commanding Officer of 1st Landing Support Battalion located in Camp Pendleton, CA from 7th of March to 24th of April 2022 by directly supporting single channel radio communications for 12 air deliveries, 80 tactical convoy, 10 helicopter support team, and over l00 logistical service requests. Performed task in an exemplary manner.
