  • In the 2 years with La Maestra Health Centers I wore many hats. One of my first roles was HR Generalist, where I assisted with new hire paperwork, company orientations, onboarding, interviewing candidates and exit interviews. Conducting I9 audits, reference checks and drafting offer letters. Assisted the recruiting director with job posting placements on company website and various recruiting sites. Participated in job fairs and other recruiting events to source potential candidates. Within a few months was promoted to training & development/employee relations specialist and worked closely with the director of workforce compliance to enforce company policies, procedures and assisted in developing trainings for departments. Coached the leadership team on effectively completing corrective actions, and annual performance evaluations. Facilitated dispute resolution meetings between employees and management and advising management on legal requirements related to hiring practices, break & meal periods, overtime pay, and background checks.
