Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is a 2-week summer program that introduced a cohort of 10 incoming students at Eastern Connecticut State University to advance our education in the STEM fields.
• Measured, analyzed, and presented agricultural data from measuring and observing trees on campus utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Learned the fundamentals of the R Programming Language using R Studio through hands-on assignments.
• Communicated with customers as a cashier and handled conflicts in a respectful way involving my supervisor when necessary.
• Collaborated with various teams of 5-10 people on multiple food stands filling in any roles required.
• Prepared and cooked various types of food: Pizza, Burgers, Ice Cream, etc.
• Communicated with YMCA members, staff, and supervisor to create a positive and safe environment.
• Distributed and kept inventory of snacks for YMCA members and notified supervisor when supplies were low.
• Supervised 20 YMCA members in a small team to maintain recreaction center.
