  • As a substitute my responsibilities change depending on the job and school I am at
  • My main responsibilities include supervising students, including classroom management, interpreting lesson plans and updating reports to inform the teacher of their success
  • When fulfilling long term assignments, this has been my job the past 2 years, I am responsible for data, IEP and 504 plans, tracking student progress, developing lesson plans and implementing strategies that fulfill the absent teachers previous goals
  • Accountability and adaptability are two skills I use daily
  • As a sub I am constantly having to adapt to situations
  • I have to be mindful of my students and think on my feet and often outside the box

  • As a clerk for USPS my main responsibilities included receiving, sorting, preparing, and distribution of all incoming/outgoing mail while complying with federal rules and regulations in processing outgoing mail, transporting and handling certified mail, registered mail, priority and first-class mail
  • I was also responsible for making sure our Amazon Hub worked efficiently on Sundays, including sorting/routing mail, assigning routes to the carriers, making sure all packages were delivered in the time frame allotted, completing reports for the facility and sometimes delivering mail if were short carriers or they fell behind
  • I was often complimented on my ability to distribute mail in a timely manner as well as learning the scheme of all the routes to better help in sorting and distributing mail
  • My biggest accomplishment was maintaining the hub on Sundays and being able to perform all duties, implement new techniques and think on my feet when faced with a crisis
  • Attention to detail including checking parcels for defects and lack of postage
  • Memorization and thinking on my feet sorting mail to allow getting the carriers out the door on time as well as getting them back into the office every night on time
  • Math to calculate shipping costs and take measurements
  • Multi-tasking as my job was high paced and often required you to do multiple things at a time with many people needing your attention at once

  • My supervisor had shown me the ropes on inventory as well as allowed me the independence to cash my own drawers out at the end of my shift allowing me to learn the micros system from management's point of view
