- Worked throughout the building for 4 years, then became a supervisor and supervised in 5 different supervisor areas in the building, including small sort, dmp (cleaning up leaking packages) two different sort aisles.
- I ran an outbound, which consists of knowing the ins and outs of understanding how the operations function together as a whole. This included moving employees to assigned locations and making sure that they are working and not distracted , but staying productive.
- Dmp consisted of working with employees to staying up to par with their safety by being up to date on their training with proper safety procedures. Rewrap is also a of this operation, which includes directing people to re-taping packages productively and to do it according to keeping the contents of the package safe for further shipping to the customer.
- Small sort operations included making sure that the machinery was in working condition (pre checks and post checks); monitoring cameras to ensure that there were not jams, and making sure people were staying positive and working productively, and safely.
- Sort aisles include (currently working there) making sure each belt is moving , communicating with other supervisors about the incoming flow. of packages that arrive to the area on belts. This ensures that the supervisors can make necessary staffing adjustments such as moving an employee to a different trailer or area . Moving people according to the volume and or making cuts is important for productivity, and so the outbounds are not overwhelmed .
