Provides the COO and Board of Directors with accurate, up-to-date information on the strategic progress of the council.

  • Works with Program Director to foster opportunities, based on girl input, that demonstrate the ‘girl-led’ model for decision-making to ensure events are relevant to the needs of the girls in the varied communities within the council footprint.
  • Builds relationships within the communities and at the state level, increasing the visibility of Girl Scouting, and setting up collaborations and partnerships for membership, programs, and adult volunteer opportunities.
  • Provides counsel to the COO in the formulation of overall council policies and plans regarding girl safety, program safety, and volunteer management.
  • Provides coaching, training, and developmental opportunities for the Regional Directors and overall Membership team.
  • Contributes to council effectiveness by providing critical staff support to task forces established by the Board of Directors, and by participating as necessary on special task forces and committees.
  • Responsible for the development and management of the department’s annual operating budget, and maintains spending levels to planned levels.
