Under general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Lab Manager, I use the laboratory process to safely perform laboratory procedure. At all times, work assignments will be determined by adjustment of laboratory test workload count. As determined by the Lab Manager, Phlebotomist is expected to perform 40 hours per week. The Phlebotomist is also expected to function within the scope of approval policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organizations. Will be responsible to assist with orientation of personnel assigned to unit. Must be able to work in a professional non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration,patients, and visitors. Will be responsible to collect, document patients specimens, deliver them to the correct lab department. Assist with accurate and timely entry patient data, orders, and charges into computer system. Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employer to arrange and attend sessions.
