  • Pantry Rio is a New Mexican food and I had a great experience working since most of my coworkers are now my friends. Working at the pantry I was a server, food runner, bartender and busser since I only worked night shifts and was the only server that liked closing. This restaurant is most know for breakfast and lunch but I would make way more money working nights than the morning shifts because of the alcohol sales. I loved working here but I already had planned on moving back to California.

  • I started working in this brewery as a host and after about a year then I became a waitress. I learned about the different types of beers, alcohol percentages same as rules in this industry. Working in New Mexico restaurants is a requirement to get alcohol classes once a year and a alcohol license every 3 years in order to be a server or bartender. After the pandemic I was also able to work as a bartender, food runner, and busser when all the restaurants where short staffed.

  • Working in this restaurant was a total different experience because I learned about wine and fine dining. Everyone was kind and very friendly specially the managers who trained me how to open, present the bottles and set up tables. La casa sena is a very old building which many tourists from around the world visit every year that is why us a servers had to be super careful about presentation and customer service.

I learned about a different type of drinks, hard liquor and different computer system which was way more easier than the one we used at blue corn.
